The US Department of State has approved the sale of weapons totaling more than $ 2 billion to the Netherlands, Australia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait. The ocean observation system will be sold to the UAE, and the contract amount is expected to reach $ 206 million. Kuwait has been approved to sell $ 397 million worth of equipment, including air-to-air missiles.
The Department of Defense's Defense Security Cooperation Agency is required to notify Congress of the sale plan before signing a weapons sale contract.
