The Red Sox of the Major League Baseball (MLB) added Rafael Devers's third baseman (25) to the injured list (IL) for 10 days due to inflammation of the right hamstring on the 23rd. The MLB official website reports.
Devers felt uncomfortable with the hamstring in the five at-bats against the Blue Jays on the 22nd and was replaced.
Devers started in the All-Star game this year for two consecutive years. In 87 games this season, he has 113 hits at the top of the American League and a batting average of 30%, 2 minutes and 4 hits, which is second in the league.
Outfielder Jaylin Davis has been promoted from 3A Worcester.
