Ukraine national football team Oleksandr Zinchenko has moved from Manchester City (Man C) in the English Premier League to Arsenal in the same league. Both clubs announced on the 22nd.
The details of the transfer fee paid to Manchester City have not been disclosed, but according to Sky Sports in the UK, 30 million pounds (about 4.9 billion yen) will be accompanied by a bonus of up to 2 million pounds.
The 25-year-old Zinchenko is mainly a midfielder in the national team, but in Man C, he was sometimes appointed as the left SB by coach Josep Guardiola. However, in the same position, there were limited opportunities to play due to the presence of João Cancelo.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, who used to be an assistant coach at Manchester City, said, "Alex (Zinchenko) is a high-quality player who gives us choice and versatility.".
Zinchenko, who has been a big fan of Arsenal since he was a child, commented that his childhood dream came true. "I've been looking forward to Arsenal's match since Thierry Henry and young Cesc Fabregas were playing here.
