Cooperation before the decision to bid for the Olympics

Haruyuki Takahashi, a former director of the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (78), had received a large amount of money from AOKI Holdings (Yokohama City) side. On the 21st, it was revealed that Mr. AOKI asked for cooperation in the bid and the AOKI side responded, and it seems that he had a deep relationship for many years.

In September 2017, four years after the decision to hold the event, the AOKI side signed a consultant contract with Mr. Takahashi's company "Commons" (Tokyo). In October 2018, he became a sponsor of the Tokyo tournament. The total amount paid to Commons is about 45 million yen, and the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office will investigate the purpose of the funds. Mr. Takahashi denied fraud in the interview.
