At least 4 people were killed and 60 were injured in a magnitude (M) 7.1 earthquake on Luzon Island in the northern Philippines on the 27th of July.
Strong shaking occurred in many areas including the capital Manila. According to the Minister of Home Affairs Abalos, 173 buildings were damaged and landslides were reported in 58 locations.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter was 11 kilometers east-southeast of Dolores, Abra, and the epicenter was as shallow as 10 kilometers.
A part of the building was damaged at a hospital in the state. The house was also damaged. The shaking lasted for more than 30 seconds.
Strong shaking was felt even in Manila, and the subway service stopped during rush hour. In high-rise buildings, people inside the building were temporarily evacuated.
